Scientific, technical and administrative management of the project.

Project requirements, test beds and assessment
Definition of the requirements for the technical workpackages (WP3-WP8), continuous validation of the project by applying its products in three test beds, overall project evaluation and assessment.

Policy and system description
Definition of the languages for policy (SPL) and system (SDL) description and their translation to internal formats.

| WP 4 |
Policy transformation
Building of modules to verify policy consistency and applicability to the given architecture, measurement of the resulting security level and translation of the policy to generic security rules.

Security mapping and deployment
Building of modules to translate from generic security rules to actual device configurations and to deploy them via network.

| WP 6 |
Proactive security monitor
Definition and implementation of the monitor that detects security violations and can automatically raise the general protection level of the system by deploying new configurations.

Advanced security components
Development of components for high-performance packet capture and modular content-filtering, including a module to turn every network element into a component of the global security system.

Framework definition, integration and test
Specification of the internal structure of the framework, creation of a control panel, performing integration tests and generation of project releases.

Dissemination and exploitation
Awareness, dissemination and exploitation actions, with specific reference to the involvement of SMEs, open-source community and standardization bodies.
